Johnson & johnson recently this year had recalled millions of Tylenol and other medicines this past year due to musty odors, and said it was recalling another lot.

The company will now be facing a congressional investigation promoted by the numerous recalls of Tylenol, Motrin, and Benadryl into the quality control lapses that have led to this continuing problem.

“This voluntary action is being taken as a precaution and the risk of adverse medical events is remote,” the diversified healthcare company said in a release.

The product identified in the recall is the adult 8 hour caplets sold in the 50 count bottles. These products were made and bottled in a factory in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania operated operated by Johnson & Johnson.

One of the largest recalls this year was on January 15, involving 53 million bottles of Tylenol, Motrin and Rolaids. Apparently the smell was traced to a chemical present in the wood pallets that was used transport and store the product.
